As a freelance journalist, I am dedicated to telling stories that explore the many different ways that people connect to place—particularly in the context of the natural world. Through the power of place-based storytelling, I aim to amplify the voices of underrepresented demographics and unpack the many experiences being seen on the landscape amid rapid environmental and social change.I recently graduated from the University of Montana with a master’s degree in natural resources and environmental science journalism. I have been published in High Country News, Grist, Audubon, Mongabay, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, and Forbes Centroamerica—amongst others. For all of my work, please see: emilysenkosky.me
