Dr Jessica Benthuysen is an oceanographer at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, Australia’s tropical marine agency. She conducts oceanographic research on Australia’s tropical marine systems.
She uses ocean computer simulations and ocean observations to model tropical marine health, providing solutions for marine management, industries, and government.
She investigates how marine heatwaves impact the health of marine ecosystems and delivers the scientific knowledge needed for timely decision making and response planning.
