I am an associate professor at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, where I teach courses on many different topics, including Chinese politics, European politics, Middle East and North African politics, American foreign policy, and the politics of language.

I have a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Missouri, an M.A. in Teaching from the University of Southern California, an M.A. in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Denver.

I served in the United States Army from 2004-2009, during which time I studied Chinese at the Defense Language Institute.
