Famous children’s educator Ms. Rachel (Rachel Griffin-Accurso) just announced a new guest star for her Youtube program “Songs for Littles:” Mychal the Librarian.

“I am so excited to share: Mychal the Librarian is going to be on the next episode of our show,” Ms. Rachel said on TikTok. “It’s a show on ‘Learning to Read’ and who better to come on and talk about libraries than Mychal? We are so excited and honored to have him coming on!”

Anyone with a toddler in their life might be familiar with Ms. Rachel’s melodic voice and sunny personality. Mychal “The Librarian” Threets also uses social media to educate and has been spreading his love of libraries on TikTok for years.

In 2023, the 33-year-old began going viral for his “mental health checks,” book reviews, and vlogs sharing the everyday joys of working at a public library.

“Just wanted to take a minute to remind you that library workers are here for you,” The Bay Area librarian said in a January video. “We’re here to support you, to encourage you, the world is so much better with you in it, the library is so much better with you in it.”

As he gained popularity, other creators have taken notice (including comedian Amy Poehler!) and his platform’s rapid growth undoubtedly played a part in Ms. Rachel’s latest announcement.

“Ms. Rachel is beloved!” Threets shared on X (formerly known as Twitter).  “Excited for the littles that she impacts with her enthusiasm and happiness to be introduced to the joy of reading and the joy of books.”

The episode is set to air at the end of February, and comments were already flooding in from excited parents and followers who adore both creators.

“Why am I more excited than my toddler?!?” commented one TikTok user.

“Cannot wait to show my grandbabies,” one follower wrote.

“Forget the kids, I'm watching this without them the first time,” another user commented. “Best collab ever!”
