In my capacity as an independent journalist, I produce stories on issues impacting Belize and the Caribbean and Central America region. My coverage to date has focused primarily on environmental issues, especially those impacting Belize's ocean space and climate change's impact on food systems and labor.
My background in academia has provided me with research skills that I use in this position to analyze and simplify technical documents for lay audiences, and communicate the significance of complex processes and financial mechanisms, such as the Environmental Impact Assessment and the Belize Blue Bond.
