I'm a white Canadian whose great-grandparents immigrated to and settled in Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories in Saskatchewan. I grew up on a farm and now live in a rural community in Treaty 4. I wonder about pedagogical possibilities for curating critical hopefulness while we tend to ecological justice as a collective treaty responsibility. In the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina, I teach undergraduate courses that aim to intersect Science, Social Studies, Environmental Education, and Treaty Education.
