I am an evolutionary ecologist and postdoctoral fellow at the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. My research explores how animals respond to changing environments, with a specific focus on bird migration.
I use a variety of tools, including biologging, stable isotopes, satellite imagery, and whole genome sequencing to investigate the ecological and genetic drivers of migratory behavior. I earned a B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Oberlin College, M.S. in Biology from Northern Michigan University, and Ph.D. in Biology from Penn State.
