USPS unveils 10 new Barbie stamps for all your summer snail mail

Four Barbie stamps designed by the USPS, featuring Barbie dolls dressed as a nurse, surgeon, astronaut, and firefighter

Your snail mail just got a hot-pink makeover.

On Friday, the United States Postal Service announced a new stamp release coming later this summer: A set of Barbie designs, dressed in outfits representing 10 iconic careers.

These include classic Barbie dolls dressed as nurses, teachers, and astronauts, as well as some more modern styles, like a soccer player, a judge, and a robotics engineer.

Ethel Kessler, an art director for USPS, collaborated with Mattel, the parent toy company that owns Barbie. Differing slightly from standard Forever stamps, these designs are a third taller than the usual vertical commemorative stamp, a format that will best showcase the dolls and their outfits.

Kessler said the team working on the project approached it “with a spirit of fun,” and used “bright, energetic” colors, especially the famous “Barbie Pink,” to create an enduring sense of joy.

The stamps will be released on July 11, during the 2026 National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in Austin, Texas.

They are Forever stamps, meaning they will always be equal in value to the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce price, according to USPS.

Once the stamps are released, people can purchase them at select postal offices nationwide or online through the USPS Postal Store
