Amelia Twyman is an intern at States Newsroom’s Washington bureau. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she now studies journalism and creative writing at the University of Maryland.
She works as an assistant news editor at the university’s independent student newspaper, The Diamondback. Amelia is set to graduate in 2028.
